“I’m sick of it,” Smith stated. “We have allowed others to nitpick at the star and make fun of the star.” He recounted how the Cowboys, who have historically dominated the league with five Super Bowl championships—three of which came during the peak years of 1993, 1994, and 1996 when Smith was leading the way—have lost their competitive edge.

He further criticized the Eagles’ fans, saying, “Everywhere I go, I hear ‘Go Birds.’ I’m sick of hearing ‘Go Birds.’ I’m always asking, ‘Where are you going? You still got a long way to go to get to us.’”

Even though the Cowboys boast a historically superior count of championships, the Eagles have claimed two titles in the past seven years, with victories in 2018 and again this past February against the Kansas City Chiefs.
