Florida Man Arrested for Threatening President Trump on Social Media

A man from Florida has been taken into custody after allegedly posting threats to kill President Donald Trump on social media. The Jupiter Police Department reported the arrest of Glen DeCicco, with charges of making written threats to kill.

Investigation Initiated

The investigation commenced following alerts regarding a troubling Facebook post made by DeCicco. Detectives analyzed his social media activities and confirmed the existence of written threats directed at the President, prompting further action.

According to police statements, the collaborative effort between the Jupiter Police Department and the U.S. Secret Service was pivotal in addressing this concerning situation.

Law Enforcement Response

During the investigation, both local police and Secret Service agents interviewed DeCicco without any incidents during the process. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi expressed gratitude towards the Jupiter Police Department for their prompt action in this case, stating:

“Thank you Jupiter (FL) PD for your swift response & partnership. Threats against @POTUS or any Secret Service protectee are taken very seriously.”

Recent Patterns of Threats

This incident is part of a disturbing trend of social media threats made against President Trump by individuals in Florida. In previous cases, others have faced charges for similar actions:

  • In January, Shannon Depararro Atkins from West Palm Beach was arrested for making violent threats against the President on social media.
  • In July, Jupiter Police apprehended Michael M. Wiseman for writing threats against Trump and now-Vice President JD Vance.

It has been reported that Trump survived two separate assassination attempts in the past, further highlighting the gravity of such threats.
